The evening concert at Sainte-Chapelle was absolute magic. We did two museum days - Orsay, Orangerie, Louvre, Cluny, Pantheon - popped into Notre-Dame, had a browse at Shakespeare and Company, had some delicious meals and good wine and of course we walked and walked and walked. Sigh. It was lovely.

It's been so long since I've been up the Eiffel Tower, we did that too; I couldn't get tickets online so I booked lunch at the cheaper option, 58 Tour Eiffel, rather than try to persuade my dear husband to join the queue, which is a lost cause. Nice lunch, but it was really about getting up there without standing in line and that worked a treat.

I do so love Paris. If we ever win the lottery we've promised each other we'll live there for at least a year. Wouldn't that be great?

We're off to Paris for a break. On Friday night I have reservations at one of my favourite Ȋle Saint-Louis restaurants and on Saturday we go to the evening concert at Sainte-Chapelle. Glorious music amid all that exquisite stained glass reflecting the candlelight - so looking forward to it, I feel like a five year-old. I'll tell you all about it when we get back. Allons-y!
